Sam McMillen

Sam McMillen is a practitioner of Yoga asana for over 15 years. An Ananda Yoga Teacher Training graduate, he currently works at Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation as an instructor in the Yoga Teacher Training and as a guest instructor in the Therapy Program.

Injury to his lower back is what brought Sam to practicing yoga. Using a variety of asanas to regain mobility in his back after an injury, he became passionate about yoga. After graduating from Ananda Yoga Teacher Training, he soon found another passion, leading yoga classes.

Deciding to broaden his knowledge and hone his craft, Sam enrolled in Ananda’s Yoga Therapy Program. In May of 2017 Sam moved to Northern California from Colorado, as to provide the opportunity to concentrate on completing the Therapy Program. Sam is also certified in Level 2 Meditation Teacher Training as well as having taken Ananda’s Restorative Teacher Training, Advanced Pranayama and Yoga Therapy Training.

Sam has experience working with many types of aliments with successful progression to healthier states.
